Re: Coronas

[edit]

--Xavigivax (talk) 08:08, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think the sun is supposed to be for Argentina, not Incas... AnonMoos (talk) 14:55, 16 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Me parece bien discutirlo.

Do you make images like File:Antilles (orthographic projection).svg yourself or did you take an excisting image and changed a little? It looks a lot like File:Antillas (orthographic projection).svg. --MGA73 (talk) 17:45, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

(Copied from my talk page - please continue where talk started) I did all my orthographic projections myself, I try to vectorize them with 550×550 pixels. Why?. --Keepscases (talk) 21:17, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Because it looked very much like an other file. If you had modified an excisting file you should tell that on the page. Normally users do not start all over creating a whole new map when there is excisting you can modify. --MGA73 (talk) 21:20, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This file has a wrong title in English, "Antillas" is in Spanish and all orthographic projections have titles in English. That's why Antillas has a badname, the correct name is "Antilles". --Keepscases (talk) 21:24, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. But if you just made a copy you should not stand as author. Then the original file should just be moved. You should only be the author if you draw everything yourself. --MGA73 (talk) 21:30, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hola,

Quebec (orthographic projection)

[edit]

Hello Sémhur, I want to ask you something. Did you made this file File:Quebec (North America orthographic projection).svg using this File:Anglo America (orthographic projection).svg, right?. Also I remember a previous file with the name as Quebec (orthographic projection).--Keepscases (talk) 23:35, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Keepscases,
No, as it's written in the file description, I used File:Canada (orthographic projection).svg and NGDC World Data Bank II for Quebec borders. I havn't seen that File:Anglo America (orthographic projection).svg existed .
I also did this for the French graphic lab, but the wanter hasn't choose this version.

✓ Done. --Keepscases (talk) 09:34, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent! Thanks! Connormah (talk) 23:23, 15 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Thanks! Connormah (talk)
Also, I apologize for all of the requests, but can you do one for the Viceroyalty of Rio de la Plata, and the Viceroyalty of Peru (with the original colors from the original map)? Thank you so much in advance. Connormah (talk) 20:48, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Aztec sun stone

Hello. Could you please explain on the image page or its talk page what changes and added original work you made to modify the famous "Aztec Sun Stone" into File:Aztec calendar.svg allowing you to claim it as your own work and having a personal copyright on it? Thanks much. -- Infrogmation (talk) 23:58, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Same-sex marriage in Portugal

[edit]

It was only first reading, not final vote.

You should read carefully http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/8448640.stm

quotation:

"The bill will now be reviewed in committee before coming back for a final vote in parliament". See also [3] Ron 1987 (talk) 15:08, 13 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Committe will consider governmental bill, not propositions additionally adoption rights for same-sex couples. That issue is finally dead. Next, the bill will be voted again by parliament. Previous vote was only preliminary. Same-sex marriage isn't legal yet. The bill must be passed twice. See Constitution of Portugal article 171. I think we should wait, because President can veto the bill. Parliament can override veto by absolute majority of votes. Rejecting of veto by parliament is very likely but not clear in 100%. President can also challenge the law to the Constitutional Court. Ron 1987 (talk)

Image uploaded at File:USA Gay flag.svg

Your upload wasn't really a correction or slight improvement of the previous image version (and also not an SVG conversion of Image:Gay_flag.JPG), but rather a completely separate image, so I reverted and reuploaded your image at File:United States Gay flag.svg. Hola. Gracias. --Cyril-83 (talk) 18:57, 4 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Flag of San Marino.svg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.)

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.

Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.

Orthographic Request

[edit]

Hi, Keepscases,

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind making two orthographic SVG projections for a project I'm working on, involving the USA and CSA. It's a novel where the US does not win, and the CS remain independent. I would give you full credit for the graphics, of course. The US would be as in this map, and the CS as in this map

Thanks for your consideration, I appreciate it. --150.176.145.160 14:45, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
