Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

lapwing

Sorry about the lapwing nomination. When Poco had a recent nomination of the same bird I reworked it, but found mine wasn't quite there. I keep a gallery of possible FPs on my userpage; there will be many older photos (~ pre-2020) that I have not reprocessed that I can have a go at if you like one.. @Charlesjsharp No worries. I'll try to use the photos on your gallery next time (or maybe request you to rework some). I'm not a professional at photography, so it's harder to find these problems and identify them, let alone edit them. Quality image criteria and stricking out votes

According to the QI requirements please check Commons:Quality images candidates#Creator: Pictures must have been created by a Wikimedian in order to be eligible for QI status. The fact that it is already a featured picture is irrelevant. Also, if you disagree with a review you don't strike at the vote, you sent it to discuss by changing the Decline to Discuss. @C messier I don't see how the image being a featured picture is irrelevant. The criteria, immediately after the section you excerpted, says: (Note that Featured Pictures do not have this requirement.) Your review is invalid and I politely ask for you to withdraw it.
