Structured Data

[edit]

Hi Sandra, some members of rightsstatements.org will be meeting on 5/23. Let me know if there's anything you'd like me to pass back to them regarding the structured data discussion. Musebrarian (talk)

Thank you! SandraF (WMF) (talk) 10:57, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

UI mockups structured data

[edit]

Hi Sandra, would you know where the originals are for those UI mockups that are in the presentation of (page 33 - 35) ? I've been trying to find them, because the resolution in the presentation is very low for those. —TheDJ (talkcontribs) 16:39, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey TheDJ, they are not separately on Commons yet, but I'll upload them tomorrow! SandraF (WMF) (talk) 18:23, 13 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
TheDJ: And here they are. Please note that these are very, very early sketches, made to start a discussion during Wikimania 2017, and by no means meant to be true design proposals as we'll release in the first half of 2018. SandraF (WMF) (talk) 12:55, 14 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

CIDOC

[edit]

fyi, some initial thoughts in response now on the talk page, Commons_talk:Structured_data/GLAM/CIDOC_CRM#Date_depicted_/_depicted_period.

If you'd like a page identifying a few MARC fields to Wikidata properties and Commons template fields, as a starting point based on some stuff I'm currently ingesting, I could try to put something together. Jheald (talk) 14:41, 29 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Structured Data on Commons data modelling session at the Wikimania 2019 Hackathon.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Mediainfo

[edit]

Hi Sandra, we have a new problem on commons: when a script-driven edit of a description page is performed, an unwanted display of strucrured data (title: mediainfo) occurs which

  1. is disturbing and irritating without any use
  2. causes insecurity at many users who fear that they are editing/deleting that data

Please tell me whom I can ask - who is competent to avoid that problem, to whom I can give more information about. Thanx -- sarang사랑 12:28, 4 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
