Bots to the rescue

[edit]

Alright, so we're doing a fairly good job at patrolling right now. We're closing in on the back of the backlog, soon we'll be monitoring 'live' again with weekly catch-ups of a few edits. However we should be able get rid of most obvious vandalism with the use of bots (ClueBot), and be able to make some of our human actions redundant (such as signing unsigned talk page contributions, SineBot). I don't know to what extend these are programmed specifically for en.wikipedia, but we should look at getting them over here. –Krinkletalk 07:31, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

We made it to 0 again!

[edit]

Wow! After quite a lot of patrolling and hard work done, we finally made the unpatrolled anonymous edits reduce to 0! Great work guys! It is 21 now, but subtracting off TimedTexts and translations that cannot be patrolled, the number is 0! Thanks to me, JurgenNL, Krinkle, Zhuyifei1999 and all the other patrollers for their hard work over the past 20 days! Jianhui67 talkcontribs 14:46, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Patrol live counts are broken

[edit]

Any chance someone could work on getting them fixed? JesseW (talk) 04:44, 7 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

How to get started with Counter-Vandalism

[edit]

I often revert vandalism on Wikipedia and thought it would be relatively straight forward to do so here, but I can't figure out where to get started. Any help? Berrely (talk) 10:35, 4 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New bot for images in en-wiki rejected drafts

[edit]

There is a new bot report (https://heber.toolforge.org/drafts/filter) for images in en-wiki rejected drafts (thanks to @William Avery: for making it). Rejected drafts often contain problematic images which sometimes are left to linger after the draft has been deleted. Would it be acceptable to list this in tools?
